Gay Man Finds Comfort in Star Wars

51 year old Professor of Theater, Domenick Scudera recently wrote an article discussing how he felt about the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He talks about how as a young boy, he did not realize that he was gay, but he knew that something about him was different than everyone else. He knew that he had a secret. Feeling this way, it was very easy to connect on a personal level with the main character of the original Star Wars: A New Hope. He compares his inner feelings to those that Luke feels about the Force.

Scudera stated that he was very pleased with the newest Star Wars film, and that he hopes that people will be able to connect with Rey in the same way that he did with Luke Skywalker.
