Same-Sex Marriage is as Bad as Forced Sterilization

I don't know about you, but when I read that title I was in absolute shock.

You're not crazy, I didn't make a typo, and you definitely didn't read it wrong.

Some people legitimately feel that allowing people of the same sex to get married is as bad as forcing people to be sterilized.

South Carolina and Tennessee are trying to nullify the Supreme Court ruling that allows same-sex couples to marry. They are calling their bill the "Natural Marriage Defense Act." It will bar state officials from recognizing the marriages of same-sex couples, effectively "unmarrying" thousands of people. The bill also makes it illegal for state officials to issue these couples marriages licenses.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I believe I’m supposed to be speaking to the unsaved, to the people that are performing same-sex marriages, to the people involved in same-sex marriage, it is wicked, it is wrong and I am doing the best I can to warn them. I believe that Nashville, Tennessee, is the time and the place that we put down the stake and we say, 'No more!'”

It just blows my mind that people cannot allow other people happiness. How does a gay couples marriage affect you? You don't want to see it? Look away. You don't want to see a gay couple holding hands or kissing in public?

 

NEWS FLASH: Straight couples aren't any more appealing when they make out in public, but we don't say anything about that.

 

Gay people aren't fighting against your rights, so why are you fighting against theirs?
